I make a habit of keeping my laptop/hard drives/headphones/chargers together and away from my gig until the last minute after setting up everything else. I also tear down my laptop/hard drive/headphones first when the gig has ended and get those things OUT of the room and locked up in my van, that way I am not worried about where things are and if random drunks may grab something on their way out of the party..
